A huge congratulations to all new PADI Scuba Diving Instructors in the Gili Islands. The January Program saw Sarah, Laura, Cat, Steve, Tomas, Lucia, Dan, Sauki and Angelica take the Instructor Development Course (IDC) and all have now graduated as professional PADI Scuba Diving Instructors.
The PADI IDC Indonesia is structured in a way that not only
covers the required PADI IDC Syllabus, but introduces candidates to a variety
of teaching techniques specifically designed by Platinum PADI Course Director
Holly Macleod who has worked within the diving industry for over a decade in a
variety of worldwide locations.

The program is conducted on an 11 day schedule with an
additional 5 days of pre IDC preparation workshops. The pre IDC preparation is
basically designed to review the knowledge and skills from the Divemaster
Course meaning that candidates can make a smooth transition into the Instructor
Development Course (IDC) and allows all candidates to start the 11 day program
on an even footing. During the Instructor Course candidates will attend all of
the mandatory PADI core units and these will take place in the classroom, the
swimming pool and in the ocean. As well as the required PADI core units our
Platinum PADI Course Director Holly has scheduled the program in a way that
take full use of available time to either conduct additional workshops or to
introduce candidates to further workshops designed to assist them within their
new careers.
The PADI IDC Indonesia course in the Gili Islands with
Platinum PADI Course Director Holly Macleod is designed to go beyond that
generally found within the industry; providing candidates with a far superior
level of training whilst also having a lot of fun. Holly uses here knowledge,
skills and experience to train instructors to the highest possible standards required
within the dive industry allowing them to make the perfect transition into
their new career with the confidence and knowledge to provide an excellent
experience to future students.
The program is constantly changing and adapting to the latest
industry updates and can therefore be seen as one of the best and most up to
date training experiences available within the recreational diving industry.
All the latest news and updates from the program can be found by checking out
the PADI IDC Indonesia Fan Page on
Facebook which also includes photos of all past, present and future candidates.
2015 was a fantastic year and saw over 100 people choosing
to take the program with Holly, contributing towards a total of nearly 500
Instructor level certifications. Candidates from the 2015 program can be seen
in the PADI IDC Gili Islands Show reel. These guys are now enjoying rewarding
and successful careers as PADI Scuba Diving Instructors.
